Devised by myself in conjunction with our tutors, these new challenges are designed to help StudioTalk members explore their creativity, test their technical painting skills and develop in exciting new directions.
'The simpler, the better' Challenge, this September on Studiotalk
As we start the new painting year, I'll be setting my first StudioTalk Painting Challenge: ' The simpler, the better.' With so many great artists proving that simple designs, bold colours and strong compositions make great paintings, I'l be challenging you to achieve more with less. Through the month I'll be hosting classes on the single but powerful painting skills behind Nocturnes, the power of simple colour in my Clever Colour class as well as those paradigms of making complex subjects simple: John Piper, Joan Eardley and Van Gogh.
'Paint Your Family' Challenge : This October on StudioTalk
This will add more fun and enthusiasm to an already exciting and inspiring weekly programme from NPS. Even more reason to join in and get painting. Thank you for your never ending generous demonstrations full of technique and encouragement.
