The Oils Program (or TOP), provides the best way to start or improve your oils.
TOP is a regular online live and on demand oil painting class which will teach you the core skills and concepts you need to develop your own oil painting practice. Taught by Martin Kinnear, a world renowned expert in oil painting, exhibiting artist and award winning contemporary painter TOP provides a rolling program of information packed classes based upon proven and popular oil painting techniques used by the Masters, which means you grow your skills week by week by simply painting along as you watch live and on demand.

How it Works
AS a member of TOP you can either login to our website to watch the class live (Tuesdays 8.30 a.m) or watch on demand through the dedicated members 24/7 . All classes are available to watch on demand for 12 weeks giving you ample time to paint and check your understanding as you watch .
What is TOP?
TOP is a rolling program of live online and unedited demonstration classes, broadcast from our professional streaming studio which allow you to see how paintings are created and let you see in real time how Martin breaks down the conmplex act of painting into clear actionable steps which you can learn for yourself.
What's Involved?
TOP is taught online in oils however you can use traditional oils, water based oils or even acrylics to paint the course projects. you can opt to join live to chat with Martin and ask questions about the current demonstration as he teaches. If you are worried about your core skills TOP includes 9 hours of on demand core oils tuition and a PDF guide to setting up and equipping for the course.

If I'm an existing StudioTalk member can I upgrade to The Oils Program (TOP)?
Unfortunately not. To get the benefits of TOP simply cancel your existing subscription and take out a new one. Don't forget to set the start date for the end of your current billing period
Do I need at Facebook account to join and watch?
No. all of our classes are streamed or viewed on demand on our secure member's website.
Can I watch on demand at any time?
As long as you have a current membership you can access past classes once they are posted after broadcast 24/7 . You can watch for up to a whopping 12 weeks on TOP.
What happens if I cancel my membership?
You will continue to have access to live classes and on demand services until the end of your current billing period.
Do I need to paint in oils?
Not at all, but all of the demonstrations are done in oil as it offers the most potential for Martin to show the kind of painting techniques which our Members aspire to learn.
What is the unmoderated Facebook group for?
Originally StudioTalk was a lockdown art club community with its own Facebook group . Although we do not moderate that group anymore it is still available for members who are happy to use Facebook to interact socially.
How do I watch the classes live?
Members simply log into the live class video feed from their dedicated member's area. No special software is needed
How does on demand work ?
Members have access to a dedicated on demand page for their subscription linked to their membership. Simply log in and watch, no special software is needed.
How do I manage my account?
Its easy. Just log in using your account details and all of your account settings are there
